Accommodation in a double-berth cabin (a ship of VIP-class “Sibiryak  -  2000 dollars per 1 person (6 free places left)

Accommodation in a cabin for 4 people (a ship of Standard-class “Tatiana”  -  1200 dollars per 1 person (8 free places left)

 

The expedition «Following the outgoing ice-2010» will start on the 25th of May 2010.

 

The annual (since 2004) expedition starts at the unique time, when the Baikal frees from ice but the northern part is still covered with ice.

The main aim of the expedition consists in the presentation of touristic possibilities of the region, collection of photo-, video material, acquaintance with spring nature of Lake Baikal, check of ships, routes and service quality of The Association “Baikalvisa”.

 

According to the program of the expedition you are supposed to visit:

 

Peschanaya Bay (famous for its interesting trees and nature), the rock Sagan-Zaba with paintings on it, Island Olkhon, Rytyi Cape, Ushkanji Islands, Lake Frolikha, maximum extension to the North.

 

During the expedition it is possible to see seals lying on the ice floes or bears coming out of the taiga on the shore of Lake Baikal.

The end of the cruise is in the village Listvyanka.

 

Expedition Program:

 

The 1st day (25 May)

  • Arrival at Irkutsk, meeting of the participants in the airport or on the railway station.
  • Transfer to the village of Sakhyurta (250 km)
  • Boarding the ships. Accommodation in the cabins.
  • Start of the expedition. The maximum passage along the western coast to the North.
  • Overnight aboard

The 2nd day (26 May)

  • Breakfast
  • Crossing of the open Baikal to the eastern part of the lake
  • Stop at the hot springs “Khakusy”. The temperature of the water is 46 degrees above 0. These springs are really helpful to the cure of some diseases.
  • Supper, rest on the shore
  • Overnight aboard

The 3rd day (27 May)

  • Breakfast
  • Passage to the Bay Ayaya
  • Rest, dinner
  • Visiting the ice lake Frolikha (7 km from the Bay Ayaya)
  • Overnight aboard

The 4th day (28 May)

  • Passage to the village Davsha
  • Visiting the Museum of Nature in the Barguzin reserve.
  • Overnight aboard
  • The 5th day (29 May)
  • Visiting the Ushkanju Islands (if the weather is good, you will be able to see seals)
  • Crossing of the Baikal to the western coast. Return to Maloe More along the western coast.
  • It is possible to stop at Rytyi cape.
  • Overnight aboard in one of the bays.

The 6th day (30 May)

  • Breakfast
  • Arrival at the village Khuzhir on the Island
  • Visiting the Shaman Rock on island Olkhon, which is one of the 7 shamanism’s sacred objects.
  • Excursion to the museum of the local core.
  • Motor-ship excursion to the most picturesque Maloye Sea’s islands of Zamogoi, Ogoi and Barakchin.

The 7th day (31 May)

  • Passage to the Peschanaya Bay. In case the lake is not rough a stop at the white-marble rock of Saagan-Zaba is possible to view the petroglyphs.
  • Overnight at the Bay Peschanaya.
  • The 8th day (01 June)
  • The end of the expedition
  • Transfer to Irkutsk

The cruise price includes:
